Buildings with a splash of colour

Barn Pieces by Maya Hayuk
I found this image online at pinterest.com

This is one of my photographs. This building is located in a very run down area of Bradford.
These two photos are proof that a bit of colour can brighten any scene.

The Importance of Colour

'Colour is an important part of our everyday lives. We judge how healthy we, our crops and our food are, with the help of colour. Our choice of decoration, furnishing and clothing is strongly influenced by colour. Colour is involved in almost every aspect of our lives.'

'It is a matter of opening ourselves to new ideas.'

Being open minded is quite important for anyone viewing contemporary art. If art is labelled as controversial, this could be because the audience has not opened themseleves to the work

The art world is constantly changing and sometimes it takes the viewer longer to adapt to the changes.

I believe that sometimes questioning art and doubting an artist's work is what keeps the art world fresh and exciting.

Red Cedar

Beautiful wooden piece from Andre. While the wood looks relatively new and clean, there are still some beautiful natural marks on the surface.

Louise Bourgeois' fine words

'Colour is stronger than language. It's a subliminal communication.'

Louis Bourgeois

If you are passionate enough about colour, then sometimes, words are not necessary.
